Pet Love
(Inside) the Loop made me feel less silly about the fact that we bought special cat food for our boys for Valentine’s day. After all, we love them to death so shouldn’t they be included in a day about love?

This cat bed tutorial over on Apartment Therapy had me laughing out loud and trying to figure out which Ikea parts were used in its construction. If our cats didn’t sleep in our bed, I might be all over this.

Finding this hat reminded me of Alice’s post on how Urban Outfitter’s mixed up crochet & knitting. It’s a common mistake among non-crafters (I admitted to Alice that the boyfriend mixes up knitting and sewing) but really struck me when stumbling on this hat. It did not come up in Etsy’s search when I used the terms ‘knit dog hat’ but did come up when I typed in ‘crochet dog hat.’

I’m kind of wishing our cats went outside if only so I could justify using this ridiculously adorable chart to figure out their head measurement. So adorable!

Cat bed! Ahhh, I love it!
I’ve always wanted a cat, but never lived in a place where it was allowed to have them. And I definitely think you should treat your pets to something special once in a while, be it on holidays or not.
aww! yay for pet love! Our girls received special valentine’s treats too. i love your beasties gallery!
okay, i initially laughed at the cat bed, but then i remembered that my mom has a baby bed for her yorkie. it’s a vintage little girl’s doll’s bed. and it’s in their kitchen. she covered a feather pillow with a vintage pillowcase to match.
Oh, P.S. Got the knitting needles a couple of days ago! SO EXCITED! thanks again!
I’m always so tempted to buy things for Oreo but then I remember that she is so fussy! She doesn’t care for toys, for catnip, for treats, for collars, for hats… I found her playing with a strip of felt today and she seemed to be having the time of her life. Oh and now she’s nuzzling some cardboard boxes. I can only hope that if I ever have children, they are this easy!
Hehe :) We constantly spoil our cats – we have kitty Christmas and actually wrap their presents. Check out this mid-century cat bed – we bought one last year for our cats.

I don’t don’t have to begin to explain how much we spoil our dog :)
Oh my god, the little cat bed! How amazing. AND the hat! Which I might just be partial to due to the b. terrier factor…
Hi there-that cat bed is just soo cute!
I tagged you in my latest post! You must check it out.
Cheers,
Emerald Dandy
I adore that little Boston Terrier hat! The wearer looks so regal . . .
That mondo cat lounging in his wood bed CRACKS ME UP.
I’m laughing and am thinking what our kitties would look like in that little bed. I think they prefer our big soft comforter!! And that little hat is so very ridiculously adorable – I wish I had one or two!!
Have a great day!!
:)
The dog hat is killing me.
Haha seeing that dog in a hat reminds me of when I would dress my poor cat up in baby clothes when I was a child! The cat bed is hysterical!
Wow that is a fat looking cat. That hat is hilarious!!
HAHA what a cute kitty and puppy! We always used to buy my dog gifts for the holidays…animals are part of families, too!
That cat bed is fantastic, but Buster prefers to sleep with my kids.
Thanks for posting that dog hat. It’s enough to make me want to both get a Boston Terrier and learn to crochet.
that doggie hat may be the cutest thing i have ever seen!
I’m all for pet love [not in the biblical sense!]… although my Ruby is already a spoiled brat and doesn’t need any encouragement! The dog hat is the funniest thing!
That cat is too funny hahaha!!
My boyfriend mixes up dresses and skirts.
