Generosity
I’ve been the recipient of some insane generosity lately. First, when I mentioned meeting Dawn the other day, I didn’t mention the amazing bundle of vintage fabric she had in hand. It took all of my willpower not to unwrap it right there.

The first wee arrow is pointing to the tiny peek of vibrantly shaded plaid that’s going to become a top–I’ve already cut it out using one of Diana’s vintage patterns. The second arrow is pointing to a vintage twill I’m positive will go towards the trim or pockets of an apron. Probably using another one of Diana’s patterns!

The second bit of goodness is courtesy of a coworker who was helping her 80 year old mother pack up to move into a smaller place last week and apparently thought of me when they came across her collection of trims and notions.

I’m going to have to think long and hard about what to use some of these for as I want to make sure their beauty is shown off adequately.

Oh wow, those trims and notions look amazing! I love it when people give away things like that. It’s funny how one person’s trash is another’s treasure. My grandma has given me loads of feedsack fabric that she didn’t want anymore, and it’s so special to me that I can never figure out what to do with it!
What a bright and lovely stack of fabric! Hope you get just the right project for everything soon.
Can’t wait to see what you craft from these goodies.
Oh wow! What lovely little treasures! :) The bundle of trims and laces is so amazing! I have a piece of lace almost the exact same pattern as the piece you’re holding in the last photo. ;) Long lost lace twins?! haha!
Ooooh..! Such lovely, vintage goodness..! Looking at it alone is inspirational… So great – and so great to be the recipient of such lovely kindness, too!

I’m weirdly amused by your wee arrows. Have fun with all the fabric!
Ambika! What a great gift. Can’t wait to see the magic you work on each one.
I love the vintage trims and fabric! I’ve got a mini-collection picked up at estate sales. The lace in the bottom pic is so pretty!
