I was lucky enough to get an advance copy of Winona’s amazing book, Closet Confidential. It’s a rare read that can offer good advice in addition to being funny–though anyone familiar with Winona’s awesome blog, Daddy Likey, already knows she’s got a hysterical way with words.

Too few people practice how to walk in heels, and society is the worse off for it.
PRACTICE, PRACTICE, PRACTICE. You wouldn’t stilt-walk in public without a few test runs, now would you? Not that 3 1/2″ heels are at all the same thing, but everyone has to start somewhere.

That sounds like a really fun book. Key to learn how to walk in heels: start with lower heels and work your way up higher and higher. That worked with me nicely =)
